Frequently asked questions.
Where is it? How do I get there?
The Green Jackrabbit is located north of Joshua Tree and west of Landers. We’ll provide you with the exact location and directions once you’ve booked your stay. Getting there is easy and is on paved roads except for the last 1.5 miles of dirt road. Don’t worry though, the dirt road which is well maintained; any normal car should have no trouble with it.
How remote is it?
The Green Jackrabbit is the perfect distance from civilization. The town of Joshua Tree is only a 15 minute drive, and Pioneertown is 30 minutes away. This means you’ll be far enough from the highway, the noise, and the lights of civilization but close enough should you need anything. We do recommend stocking up on groceries on your way through town though.
IS THERE A HOT TUB?
Of course! No desert escape venue would be complete without a hot tub. Ours is a two person hot tub with a full view of the sky and all the glorious sunrises, sunsets, and stars. While we can’t guarantee it, there’s a strong chance you’ll see shooting stars from the hot tub. We do recommend turning off all the house lights to help your eyes adjust to the dark.
Can I bring my kid? MY DOG?
We’ve designed the house primarily for adult couples and solo adventurers. While we love our furry friends, this is not the right place for them. If you are looking for a place to stay with your family or dog, check out our other house, The Rockhopper.
Is there cell service? Internet?
Yes! While there is no cell service in the park, other areas (including our house) have great signal with most carriers.
We also have high-speed internet service provided through Starlink. While speeds may vary from time to time, you should enjoy speeds between 100-200mbps. Plenty of bandwidth for video calls, uploading photos, and streaming tv and movies.
Is there a TV?
Nope, there’s no way we could get a screen big enough to compete with the views out the windows so we’re not even going to try!
